Venice

Venice is built on 117 small islands with about 150 canals and over 400 bridges. St Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and the islands of Murano and Burano are the main sights. Spring is the best season; book accommodation in advance.

Rome

Rome sits on the Tiber, 27 km from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, the Capitoline Museums, the Pantheon and the Villa Borghese are the places not to miss. Termini station is the heart of the city’s transport network.

Vienna

Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria. Its symbols are St Stephen’s Cathedral and the famous Ferris wheel in the Prater; the city blends its imperial heritage with a creative modern spirit, for example in the Neubau district.
